About the Academy

Refurbished in 2005, the Yeovil Academy is situated within Yeovil District Hospital which serves the surrounding area in East Somerset and North Dorset.

The purpose of the Academy is to provide a range of facilities and resources that support the delivery of education and development of all staff on a multi-professional basis.

The Academy is a superbly equipped, modern facility that provides specific training and education as well as conferencing facilities for more general purposes.

It contains a full range of modern presentation facilities, Clinical Skills Laboratory, IT and library resources, and an Induction Loop System is available for those with hearing difficulties.

Many courses are available, including First Aid, Clinical Skills, Advanced Life Support, Manual Handling, NVQs, Principles of Leadership, Enhanced Recovery and more.
