Yeovil District Hospital has a Board of Directors and Board of Governors.
The Board of Directors is responsible for the operational and strategic management of the hospital. The Board is comprised of the Trust Chairman, five Non-Executive Directors, the Chief Executive and five Executive Directors. The Board of Directors has full legal and financial responsibility for the Trust and meets monthly.
The Board of Governors is chaired by the Trust Chairman and is made up of 13 elected Public Governors, five elected Staff Governors and six appointed Governors from partner organisations.
The role of the Board of Governors is to hold the Trust accountable to its duty as a public benefit corporation. In particular, the Board of Governors has three key tasks:
