Yeovil District Hospital operates a non-smoking policy, not just inside the hospital building but in the immediate surrounding areas.

Stopping smoking is the single most important thing you can do to improve your health. If you think that it is going to be difficult to stop smoking whilst you are an inpatient please ask the doctor or nurse about nicotine replacement therapy. On discharge you will be given information about the local NHS Stop Smoking Service. You are four times more likely to quit by using this service than trying to give up on your own.

Patients are not permitted to drink alcohol as it may affect your treatment.
