Our location

Yeovil District Hospital

When you come to the hospital, please do consider using public transport or ask a friend or relative to drop you off and collect you again later – there is a drop-off zone directly outside the main entrance.

When you come into the main entrance of the hospital you are on Level 3.

You may be able to get help with travel costs to receive NHS treatment if you:

  • are receiving or your partner receives income support, income-based job seekers allowance (incapacity benefit or disability living allowance do not count as they are not income related), pension credit guarantee credit;

  • are entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax-exception certificate;

  • are named on a valid HC2 certificate (includes travel by your dependant children);

  • are a war pensioner and the treatment is for your accepted disablement;

  • are named on a valid HC3 certificate.

Please note that the hospital is not able to reimburse costs for taxi fares; the above reimbursements can be sought for public transport (i.e. buses).

To find out if you are eligible for assistance, please contact your local Social Security Office or go to the Yeovil District Hospital General Office for a claim form. More information can be found in the HC11 Leaflet ‘Are you entitled to help with health costs?’ available from your local Social Security Office or Post Office.
