Become a member
NHS Foundation Trusts have a duty to engage with local communities and encourage local people to become members ensuring that the membership is representative of the communities they serve. Membership allows local communities to have social ownership of their NHS Foundation trust.
Trusts need to demonstrate that the full range of potential members' interests is represented, and that a proper balance exists between different groups.
Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has about 8,000 members and is keen to recruit more. Joining is simple and a good way to show commitment to your local hospital. Members receive a quarterly update on the Trust, as well as invitations to events taking place at the hospital and in the local community.
Members can also contribute views through a local governor and can stand and vote in elections to become a governor. To find out more contact Nicola Webber on 01935 384753 or email her at Nicola.webber@ydh.nhs.uk or fill in the form below.
