Andrology

The Andrology Department at Yeovil District Hospital deals with all aspects of male fertility and, in conjunction with the Gynaecology Department, offers a simple assisted conception service. Services include fertility, retrograde ejaculation, post vastectomy testing and intra uterine examination.

Patients can make appointments via secretary Bet Bryant on 01823 343903 between 9am and 11.30am Monday to Thursday. Appointment times are normally from 8am to 12 noon.

Samples that are dropped off without an appointment will not be examined. All andrology samples need specialist containers that have been screened for cytotoxic effects on sperm - these are obtainable from either your GP or the lab  - the secretary will advise. As a general rule all andrology results are turned around on the day of receipt.
